Chikusendou Chasen Matcha Whisk - dark bamboo

Hand carved from mature brown bamboo in the town of Nara, outside of Kyoto, by Kubo Kyosuke. Whisks of this quality are not only stronger but provide more flexibility and "give" while holding up significantly longer than lower quality, cheaply made chasen. Each piece is a miniature work of art taking over 2 hours to complete.
The whisks are constructed with a skillful precision, and the bamboo tines are extremely flexibile, making Kubo's chasen very durable and a joy to use.
Handcrafted in Takayama district of Ikoma city, Nara-pref, Japan.
